How to Get Aadhar Card Online
Aadhar card is a 12-digit unique identification number issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) to every resident of India. It serves as a proof of identity and address for various purposes such as opening bank accounts, availing subsidies, applying for loans, etc. Aadhar card also enables access to various online services offered by UIDAI such as updating demographic details, ordering PVC cards, and downloading e-Aadhaar.

If you do not have an Aadhar card or want to download a copy of it, you can get it online by following these simple steps:
Visit the UIDAI official website or click on "Download Aadhaar" option from My Aadhaar option .
Select one of the options to download your Aadhaar: Aadhaar Number, Enrolment ID, or Virtual ID.
Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number or 14-digit Enrolment ID or 16-digit Virtual ID and captcha verification.
Choose whether you want a regular Aadhaar or a masked Aadhaar. A masked Aadhaar only shows the last four digits of your Aadhaar number and hides the rest for privacy reasons.
Click on "Send OTP" or "Enter a TOTP" to authenticate yourself. You will receive a one-time password (OTP) on your registered mobile number or you can use the time-based one-time password (TOTP) generated by the mAadhaar app.
Enter the OTP or TOTP and click on "Download Aadhaar". Your e-Aadhaar will be downloaded in PDF format.
Open the PDF file and enter the first four letters of your name and your year of birth as the password. For example, if your name is Ramesh Kumar and your year of birth is 1990, then your password will be RAME1990.
You can now print or save your e-Aadhaar for future use.
You can also order a PVC card of your Aadhaar online by paying a nominal fee of Rs. 50. A PVC card is a durable and easy-to-carry version of your Aadhaar that has enhanced security features such as hologram, QR code, and micro text. To order a PVC card, you need to follow these steps:
Visit the UIDAI official website or click on "Order Aadhaar PVC Card" option from My Aadhaar option .
Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number or 16-digit Virtual ID and captcha verification.
Click on "Send OTP" or "Enter a TOTP" to authenticate yourself. You will receive a one-time password (OTP) on your registered mobile number or you can use the time-based one-time password (TOTP) generated by the mAadhaar app.
Enter the OTP or TOTP and click on "Submit". You will see a preview of your PVC card and the details that will be printed on it.
Verify your details and click on "Make payment". You will be redirected to a payment gateway where you can pay Rs. 50 using any online mode such as credit card, debit card, net banking, UPI, etc.
Once the payment is successful, you will receive an acknowledgement receipt with a service request number (SRN). You can use this SRN to track the status of your PVC card request .
You will receive your PVC card by speed post within 15 days of placing the order.
